MAN v FAT, the UK’s leading male weight loss programme, is set to team up with top wellbeing platform JAAQ to support its members and their mental health.

As part of an exciting new partnership between the two organisations, MAN v FAT members will be able to access a vibrant website crammed full of supportive guidance and content to assist them on their efforts to improve their mental health.

And, as well as JAAQ’s incredible portfolio of content, the unique partnership between MAN v FAT and JAAQ means that there will be a private link only for our own community.

Players and staff will be able to upload their own 30-90 second videos for the community to see – unless they chose to share outside of that with JAAQ as well.

JAAQ’s Head of Commercial Growth, Simon Jay said: “Having weighed over 21 stone at my largest and used football as part of my weight loss journey many years ago, I know first-hand the impact MAN v FAT will be having on the lives of so many men.

“The way the team have built such a strong community of likeminded men up and down the country in such a scalable, yet impactful way, is so inspiring.

“Personally, and as a company, we couldn’t be prouder to support MAN v FAT and its members on their weight loss journeys by providing immediate access to tens of thousands of questions and answers on a host of topics from mental health to diversities of all kinds.

“The bespoke JAAQ platform for MAN v FAT contains more than 100 topics on all things related to mental health, neurodiversity, race, and much more – providing immediate answers to people within seconds. It gives members a totally anonymous and confidential place to ask the questions most on their mind, and seek help much easier in their journeys.

“It helps us understand ourselves, our emotions, and makes us better at supporting those close to us – our family, friends, and fellow team members.

“More than 1 million questions have been answered on the JAAQ platform so far, and we’re so proud to be working with MAN v FAT to get more early support out to thousands of members, instantly.”

The versatile JAAQ platform provides content in a highly consumable fashion, with answers broken down into 30-90 seconds video clips, making the ease of learning and accessibility much greater.

Members can search for a specific question, browse topics, and share content with those closest to them.

MAN v FAT has been supporting men across the UK for ten years, with the MAN v FAT Football programme having been up for eight years in that time.

With over 150 clubs across the country, the MAN v FAT community has created some close friendships and supportive bonds, with men of all ages using that peer to peer support to provide a strong foundation to their weight loss efforts.

Richard Crick, Head of MAN v FAT, said: “We’re delighted to launch our partnership with JAAQ and can’t wait to see the impact on our community. We know that struggles with mental health and wellbeing are commonplace for men. We hope that by integrating JAAQ’s innovative platform, we can offer members a easy to use, non-judgemental platform where they can ask questions to world renowned experts and familiar faces as if they were in their own living room.

“With such a diverse range of topics available, we feel JAAQ will become a centrepiece of support and knowledge for MAN v FAT players worldwide. We know MAN v FAT Coaches already offer a great level of support so to complement that with world renowned experts offering advice and guidance on topics like sleep hygiene, body dysmorphia, burnout, autism, addiction, grief, OCD and depression (to name a few!) opens up a whole new world of support to our community.

“It’s great to be working alongside an organisation with the same level of passion and ethos to support men’s health, and those around them. We can’t wait for members to see the platform first hand on the upcoming webinar.”

The new MAN v FAT x JAAQ platform goes live on 12th August with a full overview  webinar to current MAN v FAT members on Sunday 18th August.

We’ll also have a special guest from the footballing world join us to talk about their personal mental health journey.
