With our Amazing Losers game on the horizon, we’re spending the days leading up to kick off meeting the lads who’ll be pulling on the shirts in this year’s game at Walsall FC. Next, it’s the first of our Welsh contingent, as we speak to Riz Khodabux from Bridgend!
Tell us more about your initial reasons for joining MAN v FAT
To lose weight, to play football and to get into smaller clothes.
If you could go back in time and talk to the version of you at the start of your weight loss efforts, what would you tell them about the changes you’ve experienced?
It’s worth the struggle to see the efforts pay off, I feel like a normal person now, as I can fit in.

Who would you like to thank for their help in your progress?
My previous teammates from the Wrexhamburgers.
What are your future hopes around your health and wellbeing?
Feel a bit fitter, to do more exercise, get to my healthy BMI.
How much are you looking forward to the game in May?
I really am grateful for the opportunity and to be selected. I’m not sure I’ll be as good as some of the other players, but of course that’s not what MAN v FAT is all about. I’ll try my best!
