Key Responsibilities/What I Do
I lead on all marketing for the MAN v FAT Football, Rugby and Soccer programmes, helping to grow numbers across the three activity strands. I manage our Player Support team to ensure positive customer service and essentially look after your customer experience of MAN v FAT from when you first sign up all the way through to when you leave. Hopefully it’s a positive one, more often than not!
I also look after MAN v FAT’s partnership work, both with businesses and brands that want to talk to our audience of men, but also working with councils, governmental bodies and other health organisations to ensure that MAN v FAT is at the centre of all men’s health conversations.
Why I Love Working for MAN v FAT
I love football and, after many years working within the professional game, MAN v FAT gave me a chance to explore a new way to utilise my skills. I’ve always been keen to put community first and at the heart of all my work and MAN v FAT thrives off the powerful communities that have been created up and down the country.
So much of our marketing work and our customer service is steered by what the community are telling us – there’s nothing more powerful than the voice of a man whose life has been transformed by the programme and putting you guys at the centre of what we do when we make our decisions is really important to me.
Proudest moment at MAN v FAT
As others have said, there are no shortage of proud moments working for such an amazing organisation. When it comes to the many incredible stories in our communities, I take great pride that we’ve given so many men a platform to rediscover themselves and their self-confidence. Week on week, there are many stories of transformation and to think that sometimes start with the Facebook ads or local news stories that the marketing team arrange, it is something that always gives me great pleasure.
