Men in Hampshire will soon have even more opportunities to get into shape with MAN v FAT, as we bring two Rugby clubs to the county in September this year.

Hampshire has been a mainstay of MAN v FAT success over the years, with hundreds of men making meaningful health and wellbeing improvements. A vast number of those men have also benefited from funded spots on the weight loss programme, thanks to the support of Hampshire County Council.

Previously, it has only been football on offer in the county, but MAN v FAT Rugby will get started in the Autumn in Aldershot and Havant.

MAN v FAT HQ’s Karl White, who looks after the funded clubs in Hampshire said: “We are delighted to be bringing Rugby to Hampshire to build on the incredible successes of the Football clubs in the county.

“Since we launched MAN v FAT Rugby at the end of 2024, we’ve often had calls to bring the programme to Hampshire so we’re sure that it will be a popular addition – and we’ve already seen promising numbers of guys signing up ahead of the launch.

“As always, we’re hugely grateful to Hampshire County Council for their support and the backing of the Public Health team has allowed many men to make positive changes to their health and wellbeing in recent years.”

The MAN v FAT Havant Rugby club gets started on 7th September, whilst Aldershot starts later in the month on the 25th.

You can visit their respective homepages and register today, to ensure you’ve booked your spot!

If you’re a Hampshire County Council resident, have a GP or employer in the county, you may also be entitled to 14 weeks of funding – there are more details on the MAN v FAT Hampshire landing page.
