5 Healthy Cocktails To Celebrate National Cocktail Day

TGI Friday, anyone up for a little snifter? If you’re looking for a reason to raise your wrist, it’s National Cocktail Day today and so we’ve rounded up five of our favourite healthy cocktails. Put these in your pipe and smoke them…

Cucumber Mint Refresher

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz vodka
  • 3 oz cucumber juice
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz agave nectar
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Soda water

Instructions:

  1. In a shaker, muddle a few mint leaves with the agave nectar.
  2. Add vodka, cucumber juice, and lime juice to the shaker.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice and shake well.
  4. Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice.
  5. Top with soda water and garnish with a cucumber slice and mint sprig.

Ginger Kombucha Cocktail

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz gin
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz honey
  • 4 oz ginger kombucha
  • Ice
  • Lemon wheel for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a shaker, combine gin, lemon juice, and honey.
  2. Fill the shaker with ice and shake well.
  3. Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice.
  4. Top with ginger kombucha and gently stir.
  5. Garnish with a lemon wheel.

Raspberry Lime Fizz

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz white rum
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • 6 fresh raspberries
  • Soda water
  • Ice
  • Lime wheel and raspberries for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a shaker, muddle the raspberries with the simple syrup.
  2. Add white rum and lime juice to the shaker.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice and shake well.
  4. Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice.
  5. Top with soda water and gently stir.
  6. Garnish with a lime wheel and fresh raspberries.

Citrus Green Tea Cooler

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz tequila
  • 3 oz unsweetened green tea (chilled)
  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz fresh orange juice
  • 1/2 oz agave nectar
  • Ice
  • Lemon and orange slices for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a shaker, combine tequila, green tea, lemon juice, orange juice, and agave nectar.
  2. Fill the shaker with ice and shake well.
  3. Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice.
  4. Garnish with lemon and orange slices.

Pineapple Jalapeño Margarita

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz tequila
  • 1 oz fresh pineapple juice
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz agave nectar
  • 1-2 jalapeño slices (seeds removed)
  • Ice
  • Pineapple wedge and jalapeño slice for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a shaker, muddle the jalapeño slices with agave nectar.
  2. Add tequila, pineapple juice, and lime juice to the shaker.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice and shake well.
  4. Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice.
  5. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and jalapeño slice.
