Andy Webber

Coach at MAN v FAT Lichfield.

Tell us a bit about your experience as part of the coaching team with MAN v FAT

I became a coach in 2023 following 18 months as a player. It’s been a really enjoyable time and I’ve learned a lot more about the wider organisation. Learning from other coaches, covering other clubs and working on the Nationals Tournament last summer.

What do you enjoy the most about supporting the lads in your club?

Seeing the achievement of milestones and also the new activities I see. Some players I see taking up running or swimming and knowing they are only doing that from the confidence that MAN v FAT has given them.

What are you hoping you can achieve by being a part of the coach committee?

I am hoping to put the views of players across but also offer some helpful ideas to help coaches and the various teams within MAN v FAT. It might only be a small thing that changes on the system but that may change a lot for coaches up and down the country. I may help marketing, or anyone that I can. That’s my goal.
