Why did you join MAN v FAT in the first place?
I joined MAN v FAT in January 2026. At the time I had lost a fair amount of weight, however I was plateauing after a few turbulent months. I sought for MAN v FAT as a way of holding me accountable again, whilst getting more sociable and also enjoying and playing consistent football for the first time in a while.
What have been the best and hardest bits of your efforts to get to BMI Boss status?
I would say the journey on the way to achieving BMI Boss status has definitely not been a smooth sailing one. I have had some incredible ups with milestones, achievements and ultimately the main accolade. However, also been downs where I maybe felt as though I could’ve done more, would’ve lost more. But it’s all part and parcel of a weight loss journey ultimately.
What are the biggest benefits you’re now feeling from being at a healthy weight?
There are many benefits from losing the weight. Ultimately my confidence in overall life is a lot higher, I have changed character in a good way I would say. I am a lot fitter, which I can tell when playing, also a lot stronger and put myself out there more often. It has positively impacted every daily life, friendships, relationships etc.
How important has the MAN v FAT community been in getting you to this stage – and keeping you there?
The MAN v FAT community has been incredible. It’s been an utter privilege to be involved thus far. Our coaches Ryan, Chris and Steven are all amazing helpers and brilliant at their jobs. Particularly Ryan who has helped me tremendously with advice, words of wisdom and the players too have all been lovely. I really do enjoy the sessions, weigh-ins and the overall atmosphere of the club.
