Why did you join MAN v FAT in the first place?

I joined MAN v FAT as I love football and really wanted to get back playing but knew I was overweight and wanted to make a change.

What have been the best and hardest bits of your efforts to get to BMI Boss status?

The best bits have been all the compliments and encouragement along the way. The hardest bit honestly has been the maintenance stage and remembering it was a lifestyle change not just a phase to lose weight.

What are the biggest benefits you’re now feeling from being at a healthy weight?

The benefits are that I can play lots more football and move for longer and quicker, It’s also easier to find clothes that fit which is a bonus. In general, my body thanks me for it as I feel so much healthier in every aspect of my life.

How important has the MAN v FAT community been in getting you to this stage – and keeping you there?

The truth is without MAN v FAT I wouldn’t have done it. The weekly weigh-ins keeping me on track, the encouragement from my team and coach plus the satisfaction of helping the team win medals all plays its part and keeps me motivated.

Obviously the individual honours have been great as well, playing in the Amazing Losers match managed by Stuart Pearce was a highlight I’ll never forget.
