Sheffield based Marsden Weighing Group, one of the UK’s oldest and most trusted manufacturers of precision scales, will once again be sponsoring the MAN v FAT Awards – marking the third year of partnership with the trailblazing weight loss programme dedicated to transforming men’s health.
The 2026 MAN v FAT Awards will take place on May 9th at Villa Park, the home of Premier League side Aston Villa.
MAN v FAT’s Football, Rugby and Soccer programmes are specifically aimed at overweight and obese men with a BMI of higher than 27.5. It is a scheme that currently has more than 8,500 players taking part in over 180 clubs across the UK and USA. The total amount of weight lost by MAN v FAT players currently stands at nearly 1,000,000 pounds.
The Awards will recognise those who achieved greatest weight loss this year and contributed most to their local clubs. Awards to be given on the night will include Team of the Year, Amazing Loser, Best New Club and Coach of the Year.
At MAN v FAT, players are weighed before each weekly game of football or rugby, with extra bonuses awarded based on the amount of weight players have lost. Weight loss & match scores then contribute to teams’ league positions within a club. Players receive additional support including healthy meal recipe ideas and tips on improving physical & mental health.

Marcus Barkham, CEO of Marsden, said: “We’re extremely proud to be building upon our existing partnership with MAN v FAT by sponsoring their awards for the third year running.
“We’re passionate about supporting initiatives that are making a positive difference to people’s health and wellbeing. Providing accurate, reliable weighing solutions to help track progress is central to this – we’re honoured to be part of such a proactiveimpactful programme that’s motivating so many men to lead healthier, more active lives.”
Richard Crick, Director of MAN v FAT, is excited to have Marsden on board. He said: “Marsden have been long standing and very supportive partners of the MAN v FAT programme, from our early days of the Football clubs, through to our current international operation.
“Their scales are a key factor in providing our men with high quality feedback on their weight loss efforts and we are delighted that Marsden will once again be in attendance at this year’s Awards.”
