We wanted our 10th year of MAN v FAT not just to celebrate the achievements of our community over the last decade… but also to illustrate that we’re only just getting started in our mission of supporting men worldwide to take on their battle with fat, and win.
Our MAN v FAT Soccer pilots in Florida this summer have started to show what we can do when we seek to realise those ambitions. July 2024 saw the start of something special, our first North American clubs. Those launches were both the same, and incredibly different to anything we’d ever done before.
This November I got to go back to the US and see the progress at MAN v FAT Soccer in Broward.
There’s no doubt that the 700lbs lost so far by Broward and Tampa Bay is impressive, and whilst I’ve been excited to see that weight loss fly in week by week, seeing in person a quicker better style of Soccer, the smiles on faces of everybody involved and a strong club mentality easily trumped (pun entirely intended) seeing those impressive pounds lost roll in.
My trip to Broward was a one night only affair and sadly the schedule didn’t take me to Tampa Bay this time round; where equally special things are happening. My trip did take me to other states though.
In the search for new partners and facilities which can emulate the welcoming, empowering and empathetic partners that we currently have in Soccer 5 at Broward and at The BT Sports Academy in Tampa Bay.
Bring on 2025, as the MAN v FAT Soccer train has left the station…
