Thirty-six teams headed to Slough Town’s Arbour Park Stadium on Saturday 2nd July as the quest to reach MAN v FAT Finals Day at St George’s Park hotted up.

The South East Regional Tournament was the second of four events for MAN v FAT members across the UK to claim a much coveted space at Finals Day and there was a cracking day of competitive football played in Berkshire.

With MAN v FAT having launched a number of new clubs across the country in 2022, there were a number of players making their tournament debuts on Saturday.

And, among those new faces, teams from Millwall, Hemel Hempstead, Bromley and Swindon made the cut after the group stages were concluded.

With eighteen teams in action in both sessions in Slough, there was plenty of football for those friends and family in attendance to watch – as well as some vocal support from the Gosport club, whose players were there in good numbers to both play and support on Saturday.

In the morning session, three teams progressed without losing a game, with Make Emile of It scoring an impressive eighteen goals with only one conceded and Bayer Neverlusen from Northampton picking up a perfect twelve points.

Group A was the closest before lunch, with Who Ate All Depays grabbing the second qualifying spot on goal difference.

The afternoon session saw three teams pick up four wins out of four, with Borehamwood Massive, Kiddy Massive and Jizzels FC picking up perfect records.

Group D was a closely contested affair, with Hemel Hempstead’s afternoon squad squeezing past Bromley to take top spot.

So, 16 more teams preparing themselves for a trip to St George’s Park – next up, Dorchester!
