This is wonderful. In Canada, McHappy days are a thing. They are a day of fund-raising when money from the uber-calorific Big Mac Meals is given to local charities. Charities like Aberdeen Health Foundation‘s Women and Children’s Unit who are pictured below receiving a cheque for $4,925.

And guess what they spent their burger, fries and shake money on? A bariatric chair. What’s that? Well, you can see it modelled in the centre there – it’s a chair often used for people who are morbidly obese. Who said the Canadians don’t get irony (other than everyone who has ever listened to Canadian songstress Alanis Morissette of course).

Perhaps the greatest aspect of all in this story is the face of Alta Worthen, pictured top right. Does she look entirely McHappy to you?
