OK, I’m 54 years old, overweight, not in good shape and generally a physical mess.

In my younger years, I used to regularly play rugby to a decent standard in local leagues, water polo, orienteering, hiking and was as fit as a flea. Although other sports fell by the way side, I continued with rugby until a bad knee injury ruled it out.

Then a serious back injury a few years back and subsequent rounds of surgery have meant no serious training for a long time.

General shite in my life has meant that I’ve started putting many pounds back on and am now at a tippping point. Have decided from now, that life will move onward and upward and the first thing that needs addressing is the weight and fitness problem.

Can’t guarantee that I will stick rigidly to posting updates on here but will try.
